| Alternative Spring Break 2012 |
|
Are you tired of the same old Easter Break?
Don’t want to go home to just sit around? Interested in volunteering and learning new skills? Enjoy travelling and seeing new places? If you have answered YES to any of these questions then ASB is the thing for you! Alternative Spring Break (ASB) trips are the perfect opportunity to volunteer, learn new skills all while having a great adventure. Dedicate your spring break to enacting positive social change in the world in addition to engaging in activities which are both fulfilling and fun. In short, as an ASB participant you will find enjoyment in selfless acts. We are currently looking for 8 participants for this year’s trip to North Wales. We will be joining forces with the Felin Uchaf Project- a visionary, land-based social enterprise to work on various sustainable projects.
This year the trip will be from Saturday, March 31st- Saturday, April 7th. The trip cost is roughly £200 which will take care of all transportation, food and housing.
A £100 non-refundable deposit is due at sign-up. Please note that ASB is an alcohol and drug free experience. For more information visit www.felinuchaf.org or stop by Room G10 in the Guild of Students building. If you are interested please complete the attached survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/NRKWJFM You may also e-mail your inquiries to Cathy Beckham- chb@aber.ac.uk.
