Student Advice & Counselling Centre
The Student Advice and Counselling Centre (SACC) offers support and advice in a safe and confidential space – it is run by the Guild and is independent from the University. You will find us on the ground floor of the Students' Union building at the end of the corridor.
Making an appointment
To make an appointment for either Counselling or Advice you can email us on:
union.welfare@aber.ac.uk
ring us on: 01970 621740 or drop in to reception between 9 and 4 Monday to Friday.
An appointment will be made for you as soon as possible, but please bear in mind that there is usually a waiting list for counselling appointments especially around the end of term.
If you do not require an appointment, but have a quick question or query you can check with our administrator, Annmarie who may have the relevant information in reception.Â
As with everything on offer in the Guild this service is student led but we are also a member of Federation on Independent Advice Centres (FIAC) and we subscribe to the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux (NACAB). Our counsellors are all members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). SACC is a confidential environment.
