Hi I’m Sarah, here is a little bit about me, the person behind the title!
This will be my fourth year in Aber, I graduated in marine and freshwater biology or as many people call it FISH…
I have three things I love in my spare time the first is travelling, I have the bug bad and love just packing a bag, booking a flight and off I go. Do you recognise the house?
I also love being outdoors, Aber is definatly the best location for that, whether its going to the beach, rock climbing, hiking or skiing I can’t get enough of it!
My final love is fancy dress and Aber is most definatly the best place to do that, whether its reload or a theme saturday night, I love it! Some favourites over the years are…
The best bit about my job is working with the most important people at university… YOU GUYS!!!
Hi, my name is Mus, or also known as Ernie (its a long story ) I’m your Diversity and Development officer and this is my second year in the post. My role has two fronts. Firstly I am responsible for all development issues within the Guild so if you have any queries on how to boost your C.V. or have any questions on training I am the person to come and see.
I am also responsible for the Liberations exec which means I will co ordinate all the liberations campaigns and be your representative on all liberations issues. Liberations are groups that are underrepresented in society. Therefore it is my job to coordinate all the liberation campaigns and make sure that you are represented on all levels. So if you have any concerns with anything from international student issues to ethnic minority matters or students with disabilities to the environment then I’m the person to ask. My door is always open and I am very happy to help out and answer any queries or question you might have.
I arrived in Aber in 2003 and am now entering my 5th year here. I lived in Penbryn Block 8 in my first year and had an epic time. Trust me, if you are fortunate enough to live in the Bryn you will have one of the best years of your life. Aber is such a great place and I promise you won’t regret choosing it. Coming from London I found it such a contrast and that what I love about this place. After visiting my mates at other Uni’s nothing beats Aber for atmosphere and banter. Once you’re settled you are guaranteed to see at least one person you know when you walk up and down the hill. This place is amazing, there are many things to do and great nights to be had. My door is always open so feel free to come in and have a chat at any time.
Enjoy your year and I am sure I will see you around!
Remember in Aber…
Its not easy being a president who works hard all the time for the benefit of the students that i love…
WOW WHAT A WOMAN….
THE PRESIDENTS DESK HAS NEVER SEEN SO MUCH ACTION!
Aber is a wonderful place to study, its so diverse that we even let smurfs come here to study!
So what is amazing about Aber? Why have I given up my career to offer my heart, mind and soul for some people who quite frankly dont even know that I exist…
Firstly, Aber is known for its awesome Wednesday nights, after BUSA fixtures where everyone can get dressed up and have a chilled out glass of coke and a packet of skittles…
Thirdly, you get to make lots of friends who like me even if i am a bit weird…
Fourthly i get the chance to be me…
Of course dont forget that there is the lush setting to keep you here!
Well somethings gotta keep me here when i owe…
The trick to success in aber is not to tread in dog poo… its always a let down!
